We didn't know it then, but our visit with John Whitehouse at the Covey Awards show in October '07 would be our last time together. John passed away Jan 28th, 2008.
He was a very close friend- we were privileged to spend quite a bit of time with him.
If you ever attended an AM show on the Gulf Coast, there's a good chance you met him, or at least saw him there.
Everyone called him "Big John." Sure, his height was prodigious, but he was 'big' in so many other ways too.
He had a big personality; he really lit up a room with his positivity and friendliness.
His generosity was overwhelming- we'll always treasure the gifts he gave us.
He had 'big' talents- his creations were original and striking.
His loss will be felt in a big way;
We have our memories of our time with John, but we will always miss him immensely.
